StarTrishDesign Whimsy Girl (Two)

Nowadays I rarely get chance to sit and read a book and if I did I would probably fall asleep before the first page was turned... BUT... I do like to read a blog or two with a cuppa when time allows...
Last week I came across Trish Latimers inspiring  inkpaintbeads blog showcasing her adorable new red rubber unmounted stamps.... available to purchase from StarTrishDesign I just had to have one... (Just one..???.. Hmmmmm..!!)
This is my take or TAKES on Whimsy Girl Two

MY EARTH ANGEL

The image sizeable at 5'x3' was stamped in Versamark onyx ink and coloured using Trimcraft First Edition Markers i'd had these markers for quite sometime but never really used them for detail before but I have to say i'm very impressed, the blend is seamless and the colours are juicy and vibrant.
The tag was created using distress ink & sprays, with a little handmade mica mist to give some sparkle.
The Earth was given a coat of Tonic crackle paint to make Earth look a little broken..!!

Such a lovely image to work with and extremely addictive.... I just couldn't stop..!!

Using scrap Gelli Plate backgrounds, Paperartsy stamps & hand doodles two 5.5' x 3.5' Cards were created.

and finally............

a small canvas board. (not too sure if this one is finished yet..?)
I cant wait to get my hands on more of Trishs stamps (ok I confess I have already..!!)
and bring you a few more sneak peeks..

Thank you for your company .. Have a wonderful weekend.

Oswald.... Lets Dance..!!

I've not had chance to play around with Oswald but he always looked like he was
dancing to me or in need of throwing a few shapes on the dance floor....

Using Pen, ink and a little bit of sparkle on his feathery brows his scene has been created.
Fun image to work with easy to resize and so adaptable..

He'd look great in a Santa Hat don't you think..??

Thank you for taking a sneeky peek...Creative Hugs from Tracey xxx

All Steamed Up..!!

A 6' x 6' mixed media canvas created using Lindsay Mason Doo Lally Pip Stamp sets Time Travel and Steamed Up. Lots of Texture paste and LOTS of gilding wax have helped to give this piece dimension.

The outer frame has been created using decorated Lolly sticks (extras from a mini altered art challenge)

There are plenty of fun stamps to use within each set especially when teamed up with complimenting cogs die cuts and old watch part embellishments.

Thank you for taking a peek at my mixed media creation. Creative hugs from Tracey xx

Vilda Stamps Embossed photo frame.

On a recently visit to the NEC in Birmingham Becka B introduced me to some adorable stamps byVilda made in Sweden. I'd like to share my latest make with you.
A 3.5" x 4.5" photo frame was primed as my base, three images from Vilda's Small House Kit or *Minihus kit* V688 were stamped and coloured using promarkers.

A Mini water colour was created using stamps by Vilda *butterfly corner* V710

The Frame was embossed several times using a mixture of fine and UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamal) This gives a distressed/uneven effect.

The more I embossed the frame the more it seemed to lift the colour from the image
giving an almost dreamy, slightly out of focus effect.
The mini water colour marry's up with the framed image.

Vilda stamps are fine red rubber and highly detailed, please check out Becka B's website for a vast selection of Vilda loveliness (plus she is generously offering Free UK  P&P until the end of JULY)

Thank you for taking time to visit, I hope you have been inspired as much as I have.
